There’s been a lot of posts and reviews about Benefit’s new Roller Lash mascara which recently launched in the UK. To help with the release, Benefit also launched their Curl’s Best Friend pop up shop in London which offered faux blows (dry hair styling), cocktails, make up touch ups and the chance for a girlie chat about all things Benefit cosmetics – including the mascara that every blogger has been raving about ‘Roller Lash’.
Before I talk about the mascara, I wanted to share with you some pictures from the day. I managed to book both a table and a faux blow through the Curl’s Best Friend app for myself and 2 friends. The date also coincided nicely with combined birthday and leaving celebrations for my 2 friends therefore, was a great thing for the 3 of us to do together. If you follow my Instagram account no doubt you would have seen some of these images cropping up while we were there but, if not, here’s some snippets from throughout the day.
As you can probably tell we had an amazing couple of hours at Benefit’s pop up shop, enjoying the products as well as the cocktails (honestly)! Which brings me along nicely to the mascara.
Just when you thought Benefit couldn’t provide us with a better mascara than ‘They’re Real’, they give us ‘Roller Lash’. At first I was highly sceptical of the brush. I hate plastic brushes, I usually prefer actual bristles over a plastic wand any day, but strangely enough I love this. I have no idea how, but the effect this mascara gives is on a par with ‘They’re Real’, if not better. It defines, lengthens and amplifies your lashes giving you a brilliant final result.
The price is also reasonable at £19.50. Although I can’t tell you how quickly the product dries out (mine’s still going strong), I can tell you that if ‘They’re Real’ is anything to go by, it feels like great value for money – every application makes you feel like the price tag is worth it.
So finally, the before and after picture. Well worth it if you ask me (and no falsies necessary)!
Tried it? Let me know your thoughts!
