I seem to go through a love hate relationship with River Island. There’s times when I find absolutely nothing in their stores, and others when I want EVERYTHING. Last weekend happened to be a case of the latter.
In preparation for my trip to Edinburgh a couple of nights ago, I treated myself to a couple of “essentials” and when I say “essentials”, I mean completely unnecessary purchases that I couldn’t leave without. However, I also partly blame the 20% offer River Island had on at the time too, making it very hard to say no!
My first purchase was this wrap skirt. I’m very particular about prints and usually adopt block colours as a result however, this is the nicest print I’ve seen in a long time. It’s super girly and makes me incredibly excited for Spring/Summer. I decided to pick out the black detailing when putting together an outfit, opting for a cold shoulder black jersey top and black studded Zara heels to complete the look.
My next purchase was a pair of comfy espadrille plimsoles. I don’t know what it is but I really struggle to find shoes that don’t rip my feet up! I’ve now lost count of the amount of blisters my poor feet have had! I’m hoping these beige flats are going to end all my blister problems (wishful thinking I know)!
I wore these to travel in and for casual day activities in Edinburgh. I also ended up taking my Zara trainers as back up! I walked around Rome for 3 days in those so I thought it would be wise to have at least know 1 pair of my shoes that I knew would be up for the job!
A lot of others things caught my eye whilst browsing River Island last weekend so I thought I’d leave you a couple of other styles I love but didn’t buy on the day… but you never know, they may soon be appearing in my wardrobe too!
