Most famously worn by Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, over the knee boots are making a serious comeback this season, stepping away from their former hooker connection and towards being our A/W must have, all thanks to our favourite high fashion fashionistas. It’s unsurprising then, that there are now an array of over the knee footwear options in all of our favourite high street stores. I’ve tried to include some of my favourites from a range of price points. Comment below if you’ve purchased yours yet!
First up is New Look, their £44.99 boots are the cheapest of my picks. For me, New Look shoes are amazing. You know exactly what you’re going to get when you purchase a pair of shoes from New Look – they look great, are on trend and, at the same time, aren’t going to break the bank. This pair is a leg hugging way to wear the trend.
Blink isn’t a brand I’ve tried from ASOS but I picked them though because I love the style and the high rise front of the boot. At £55 it’s definitely worth a try.
Next, Miss Selfridge. Slightly more expensive at £59, but again still affordable. The fit for me is perfect as well. They fit both my calf and my foot which is sometimes the danger with long boots.
Topshop are offering a few styles to satisfy your craving for this trend. They’ve invested more heavily in options therefore, there’s something for everyone. My favourites include these own brand and CJG (Chloe Jade Green) @ Topshop styles. Personally, I love the colour of the own brand Topshop boots. I can best describe them as a mushroom/khaki colour which is perfect for Autumn. The alternative are these CJG boots, which are a smarter way to wear this trend. The leather/suede combinations are really gorgeous and the heel gives extra height whilst still being comfortable.
Lastly, I’ve included this Reiss pair of boots. Due to the price point (£295), if I was to purchase them it’d be for the ultimate treat or a birthday present, but I still can’t resist including them in my picks. The leather of these boots is so luxurious, for me, it justifies the price somewhat – you will literally just want to sit and stroke your legs. Also, the leg strap makes sure the boots don’t slouch as you walk, which a few of the styles on the highstreet are guilty of doing.
And to leave you with a little more inspiration of possible outfit ideas, below are two of my favourite celebs rocking their over the knee boots.
That’s all for this week.
