Taking your eye makeup off at the end of the day doesn’t have to be a chore, as I’ve recently discovered after finding Filorga’s Optim-Eyes Lotion.
Filorga’s lightweight lotion has an oily texture that lifts dense mascara and shadow from your eyes without the need for heavy scrubbing. When I first found out about this remover, I was also informed it had properties that help lashes grow. I was pretty sceptical about these claims but, after a few tries myself, I can see why. Typically, drug store removers require generous application of product onto a cotton pad to remove even the most basic of mascaras. This then has to be followed up with plenty of eye rubbing across the lid to ensure all traces of your makeup have gone! I found with this remover, not only was I spending less time taking off my eye makeup, but I had fewer lashes coming out onto the cotton pad – a typical side affect of using Benefit’s ‘They’re Real’ mascara (the greatest mascara, but such a pain to remove that they had to create their own remover to get it off with!).
This eye makeup remover does come with somewhat of a steeper price tag than you may be used to (£26) however, with its three layers (eye makeup remover, a serum to moisturise and reduce signs of fatigue and a protein layer to fortify lashes) I feel it’s a great all-rounded to have in my bathroom cabinet.
You may notice in these images a few of my other favourite products I also like to use to remove any traces of the day’s makeup. Skyn Iceland’s makeup wipes are an absolute must when you’re a bit short of time – a review will follow shortly therefore, be sure to follow my blog to stay up to date!
